Capture a moment of time at Canyon de Chelly. The ruins of Indian villages, which date between 350 and 1300 AD, stand at the base of the park’s sheer cliffs and inside the beautiful canyon’s caves. Auto tours, hiking, rock art viewing and horseback riding are some of the many activities available year round.

At 25 acres, the largest of the designated urban fishing lakes in the Valley is Alvord Lake in southwest Phoenix at 35th Avenue, and Baseline Road. With a new state of the art aeration system, this lake is well equipped to provide a day’s worth of fishing enjoyment. Alvord is kept stocked with channel catfish, rainbow trout (in season), bluegill, hybrid sunfish, largemouth bass, yellow bass, tilapia, and carp.
